HELP!!! Is this considered a DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CHARGE? for a married couple?

NEED HELP!! having a situation..when a situation happens that was accidental, not INTENTIONAL, will you get charged with domestic violence. Married couple, got into an argument, wife got mad, tugged on her childs jumper where it was hooked on the top wall and it snapped and hit her husband on the forehead, gave him a cut, husband was lying on the bed faced up. cops got involved only because husband left in car, and was pulled over at house at 2am. both said it was not intentional, typical marriage argument. neither were arrested, but cops had to make a report, for the judge to decide if it is a domestic violence case.
