Ways to clean a toilet besides toilet brush?

Well, I refuse to use and keep a toilet brush in the house. The idea of using it to clean crap (literally) and all sorts of grime then having the germs fester on the brush is enough to make me puke. I've heard that Toilet Duck in the UK has disposable brushes but no idea if these are expensive if I keep buying them in the long run. Is there a more economic way of cleaning a toilet without using the traditional toilet brush? I need to clean all the way to the bottom of the bowl.
